I’ll talk about Google AdSense at length in another post I’m sure. I’ve been having a bit of issues getting qualified. I applied for another site last year, but for some reason, I missed the confirmation email. It’s causing me a bit of grief now as I await to qualify.
Since this is a blog about making money online, I applied for Kontera on the advice of John Chow who claims that it’s one of his money makers. I’m specifically installing their ContextLinks product. You can find out more about their product by visiting the Kontera’s overview for publishers page.
According to Kontera’s site, ContextLinks works like this:
ContentLinks are contextually relevant ads and information units dynamically linked to keywords on a publisher’s web page. The keyword is linked to the most relevant and highest paying text ad from among Kontera’s thousands of advertisers.
I’m happy to report that the whole process took about 10 minutes for me to set up. I registered. They sent me the activation link. I clicked it. The approved me. I installed the code snippet in my footer file and voila – done.
The very next morning I had nice little double-underlines sprinkled throughout my blog. I have no idea whether I’ll get a whole bunch of revenue this way, but some is better than none.
As of today, I’m officially monetized!
I’ll keep you posted on how they do!
